Genewity

Genewity develops pioneering stem cell-based gene therapies that target the root cause of life-threatening rare pediatric diseases, such as Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), where children are born without a functioning immune system. Its clinical-stage program, executed by subsidiary Videja B.V., uses a patient's own bone marrow stem cells that are genetically modified outside the body to insert a functional copy of the defective gene before the cells are returned to the patient. Genewity Holding B.V., based at the Leiden Bio Science Park in the Netherlands, is advancing a pipeline of one-time, durable therapies for children with severe unmet medical needs.
