Gather Flora is a San Francisco-based online marketplace for the $80–100 billion flower industry, enabling florists and flower businesses to digitally source high-quality, seasonal flowers grown by local farms throughout their region. The platform addresses fragmentation in domestic floriculture by offering weekly browsable inventory and advanced order placement, with a focus on sustainability and traceability. Gather Flora helps florists reduce carbon footprint by sourcing locally (a few hundred miles) versus imported flowers (2,500+ miles). The company uses ML-based SKU taxonomy tools to manage the diversity of stem varieties, lengths, harvest stages, and packaging types across hundreds of farms.
