Forth Therapeutics is a precision biotech company developing therapeutics that target the underlying mechanisms driving fibrotic and inflammatory diseases. The company was spun out of the University of Edinburgh in early 2025, built on pioneering research from Professor Neil Henderson, a world-renowned expert in liver fibrosis. Using multi-omic insights from patient-derived tissue samples — including single-cell and spatial genomics — Forth has built one of the largest single-cell human liver disease datasets in the world, which it uses to identify antifibrotic drug targets with high precision. Headquartered in Edinburgh and Cambridge, the company is led by CEO Alex Leech, a serial entrepreneur and partner at lead investor Sofinnova Partners.
