Figure Eight (formerly CrowdFlower) was a San Francisco-based AI data annotation and enrichment platform founded in 2007. The company provided a human-in-the-loop machine learning platform enabling enterprises to create large-scale, high-quality labeled training datasets for AI and ML models. Figure Eight rebranded from CrowdFlower in 2018 and was acquired by Appen in April 2019 for up to $300 million.
