Your 3D outdoor adventure guide
FATMAP was a high-resolution 3D outdoor mapping platform designed for skiing, mountaineering, hiking, trail running, and other adventure sports. Founded in 2013 in London, the platform combined satellite imagery with local expertise to help millions of outdoor enthusiasts discover, plan, and navigate routes with detailed 3D terrain visualization. FATMAP provided route guides, avalanche risk data, and community-contributed content across mountain environments worldwide. The company was acquired by Strava in January 2023, and the FATMAP app was shut down on October 1, 2024, with its 3D mapping technology integrated into the Strava platform.
