Enersion

Enersion is a Canadian cleantech company developing the Energy Cubed, a next-generation adsorption-based heat pump that provides emission-free space cooling, domestic hot water, and space heating for commercial and institutional buildings. Using nano-porous materials instead of mechanical compressors, and water as a refrigerant in place of synthetic greenhouse gases, the system consumes up to 10x less electricity than conventional HVAC systems. The technology is BACnet-compatible with AI optimization and 5G connectivity, and can integrate with solar thermal panels for additional energy savings. Enersion was co-founded by researchers from the University of Toronto and MIT, and was named to the Cleantech Group 2025 Global Cleantech 100 list.
