What will you build first now that energy is no longer a constraint?
Efficient Computer is a semiconductor startup commercializing a breakthrough spatial dataflow processor architecture called Fabric, developed over nearly a decade at Carnegie Mellon University. The company's Electron E1 processor is 100x more efficient than leading low-power CPUs, enabling real-time AI and compute tasks in extreme edge environments including defense systems, satellite payloads, and industrial automation. Efficient's effcc compiler allows developers to port software written in familiar languages to the Fabric architecture. Founded in 2022 by CMU professor Brandon Lucia and Nathan Beckmann, the company raised a $60M Series A in February 2026.
