Dyna Robotics

Dyna Robotics is a San Francisco-based robotics company that develops commercial-grade general-purpose robots powered by proprietary embodied AI foundation models. Founded in 2024 by Lindon Gao and York Yang (who previously sold grocery AI startup Caper AI for $350 million) alongside former DeepMind research scientist Jason Ma, Dyna builds robots designed to perform diverse daily tasks autonomously in commercial environments. Their flagship DYNA-1 foundation model is described as the first commercial-ready robot foundation model offering fully autonomous round-the-clock dexterity, achieving over 99% success rates in 24 hours of continuous non-stop operation. Dyna robots work out of the box in new environments and continuously improve with each customer deployment, generating high-quality training data at scale. The company has deployed robots across hotels, restaurants, laundromats, and gyms, with units operating up to 16-hour daily shifts. Backed by NVIDIA's NVentures, Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund, Samsung Next, LG Technology Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, CRV, and First Round Capital, Dyna Robotics is developing what it calls physical artificial general intelligence.
