DustPhotonics is an Israeli silicon photonics company that designs and manufactures photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and optical modules for hyperscale data centers, AI computing infrastructure, and high-performance computing applications. Founded in 2017 in Modi'in, Israel, the company built its technology platform around a proprietary silicon photonics process that integrates active and passive optical components, continuous-wave laser coupling, and Mach-Zehnder Modulators onto a single chip. Its product portfolio—including the Oz4 (800G DR4) and Oz8 (1.6T DR8) silicon photonics engines and the Tamar product family (the industry's first merchant 1.6T-2xFR4 PIC)—delivers high-bandwidth, low-power optical interconnects at speeds from 400Gbps to 1.6Tbps. These chips are used inside pluggable optical transceivers sold to hyperscalers and AI cluster builders who require dense, energy-efficient connectivity for GPU-to-GPU communications and scale-out networking. DustPhotonics was acquired by Credo Semiconductor in April 2025, expanding Credo's optical interconnect portfolio across 800G, 1.6T, and 3.2T near-packaged optics standards.
