Dune Networks was a fabless semiconductor company that developed high-capacity networking chips for Data Center, Enterprise, and Carrier Ethernet switching platforms. The company's switching solutions were designed to be scalable in capacity, port rate, and service schemes, extending the life cycle of packet platforms and revolutionizing the economics of packet network deployment. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Dune Networks was acquired by Broadcom in December 2009 for approximately $178 million.
