Duality AI (Duality Robotics, Inc.) is a digital twin simulation platform company founded in fall 2018 and headquartered in San Mateo, California. The company builds Falcon, a high-fidelity digital twin simulation platform that enables organizations to test, fine-tune, and validate AI and autonomous systems — achieving real-world results on accelerated timelines and within budget. Falcon supports open-loop simulation for synthetic data generation and closed-loop simulation for autonomous systems validation, and integrates with ROS/ROS2 and the latest generation of AI models via a Python API. Use cases span autonomous robots, self-driving vehicles, warehouse automation, and perception systems. Duality was co-founded by Apurva Shah (formerly Pixar Studios) and Mike Taylor (formerly Caterpillar, DARPA Urban Challenge winner). The company's team holds over 70 patents across robotics, simulation, and visualization, and has been awarded an Epic Games MegaGrant. Customers include P&G, KEF Robotics, Honeywell Aerospace, and AWS.
