Digitail is an AI-native, all-in-one practice management platform built specifically for veterinary clinics, replacing the legacy, on-premise software that has historically run most animal hospitals. The cloud-based system consolidates the core operational workload of a veterinary practice — digital medical records, appointment scheduling, client communication, billing and payments, inventory, and now AI-assisted documentation — into a single connected product, positioning itself against older desktop-era veterinary practice management systems that require manual, disconnected workflows. Founded in 2018 by Sebastian Gabor and Ruxandra Pui and headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Digitail has grown to support roughly 10,000 veterinarians and 3 million pet parents across independent clinics, multi-location practice groups, and mobile veterinary services, more than doubling its customer base in the twelve months leading into its Series B raise. In November 2025, Digitail closed a $23 million Series B round led by Five Elms Capital, with continued participation from existing investors Atomico, Partech, Byfounders, and Gradient, bringing the company's total funding raised since its 2018 founding to more than $37 million. The company has framed the new capital around accelerating its AI roadmap — automating routine documentation and administrative tasks so veterinary teams can see more patients per day — alongside continued international expansion of its core practice management platform. Digitail's growth reflects a broader shift in veterinary care technology toward AI-assisted, cloud-native tools as clinics face rising caseloads and persistent staffing shortages across the veterinary profession.
