Diamond Foundry

Diamond Foundry was founded in 2012 in San Francisco by Stanford, MIT, and Princeton engineers. The company created the world's first single-crystal diamond wafer and has grown into the #1 global producer of single-crystal diamond. It uses chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technology in vertically integrated foundries powered by zero-emission energy. Diamond Foundry produces lab-grown diamonds for jewelry (via its VRAI consumer brand) and increasingly for semiconductor applications including AI chip thermal management, power electronics for electric vehicles, and diamond transistors. The company holds over 90% of the global market for large single-crystal diamond.
