Cyclize is a Stuttgart-based deeptech startup and University of Stuttgart spin-off that uses proprietary plasma-reforming technology to convert mixed plastic waste and CO₂ into high-quality synthesis gas (syngas), replacing fossil feedstocks in the chemical industry. The company targets two major societal challenges simultaneously — hard-to-recycle waste and industrial CO₂ emissions — producing non-fossil syngas at cost levels competitive with natural-gas-derived syngas. Cyclize secured close to €5 million in seed funding led by HTGF and UVC Partners, and won the 2025 Stuttgart Innovation Award.
