Coridea is a premier medical device incubator based in New York City, focused on developing innovative solutions for cardiology, pulmonary, and renal patients who have limited or no other treatment options. Led by Dr. Howard Levin, Mark Gelfand, Dr. Zoar Engelman, and Adam Rosenwach, Coridea combines deep clinical expertise with a translational approach to ideation, intellectual property generation, rapid prototyping, and pre-clinical evaluation. Since its founding, Coridea has launched 15 companies, returned over $1.6 billion to investors, and secured more than $12 million in NIH grants. Notable portfolio companies include CorVent Medical, which developed the first single-use critical-care ventilator. In 2021, Coridea partnered with Deerfield Management to launch the Deerfield Catalyst, a medtech incubator at 345 Park Avenue South in Manhattan.
