Corestem

Corestem (now operating as CorestemChemon after a merger) is a South Korean biopharmaceutical company founded in 2003 that pioneers stem cell-based therapies for rare and intractable diseases. The company developed Neuronata-R, the first stem cell therapeutic approved by the Korean FDA in 2014 for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), and has since expanded its pipeline to include treatments for lupus and neuromyelitis optica. With approximately 350 employees worldwide, CorestemChemon recently established a US base of operations at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine to pursue FDA approval and global commercialization.
