Corca Research

Corca Research is a New York-based software company building a collaborative workspace for mathematics. The platform is designed to replace paper and traditional math notation tools with a fast, flexible digital environment where researchers, scientists, engineers, and students can define their own mathematical rules and notations and collaborate in real time. Corca aims to be the 'text editor for mathematics' — a tool category that has not previously existed in a modern, collaborative form. The product launched in January 2025 and was co-founded by Anton Gladkoborodov and other co-founders including Igor Gladkoborodov and Oleg Shevlyagin, alumni of Y Combinator. The name Corca comes from 'collaborative research capability.' In June 2026, Corca raised a $7.8 million seed round led by NEA with participation from Bloomberg Beta, targeting researchers and technical teams who need real-time collaborative math editing at the speed of thought. Corca is positioned as infrastructure for the future of scientific and technical knowledge work, enabling people to do mathematics digitally the same way Google Docs enabled collaborative text editing.
