ClarVista Medical is a clinical-stage ophthalmic device company developing the HARMONI Modular IOL System, a two-component intraocular lens platform designed to optimize vision outcomes in cataract surgery. The HARMONI system features a stable base component that remains in the eye paired with interchangeable optic components — available in monofocal, toric, multifocal, and extended depth-of-focus variants — allowing surgeons to adjust or upgrade optics at any time after implantation. The design achieves consistent capsular bag positioning, low posterior capsular opacity rates, and is delivered through a standard clear corneal incision. ClarVista Medical received CE mark approval in 2015 and was subsequently acquired by Alcon.
