ClairMail was a leading provider of mobile banking and payment solutions for the North American and European markets. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in San Rafael, California, the company delivered an enterprise-wide technology platform enabling financial institutions of all sizes to offer mobile banking, payments, and commerce services across all mobile channels — including text banking, mobile web, and native applications. ClairMail helped financial institution customers improve customer acquisition and retention, reduce costs, mitigate security risks, and generate new revenue opportunities through the mobile channel. The company served a third of the top 50 North American financial institutions, including 8 of the top 13 banks. ClairMail was acquired by UK-based Monitise plc for million in June 2012.
