CCP Games (Crowd Control Productions) is an Icelandic independent video game developer best known for EVE Online, a massively multiplayer online game featuring one of the most complex player-driven economies and persistent universes in gaming history. Founded in 1997 in Reykjavik, the company pioneered emergent sandbox gameplay at MMO scale, sustaining EVE Online for over two decades. CCP was acquired by South Korean game publisher Pearl Abyss for approximately $425 million in 2018. The studio operates globally with its headquarters in Reykjavik, Iceland.
