Carbonaught

Carbonaught is an Australian climate technology company developing enhanced rock weathering solutions to rebuild the depleted mineral foundation of agricultural soils. By applying locally sourced silicate minerals to farmland, Carbonaught simultaneously improves soil pH, increases nutrient availability for crops, and achieves permanent, large-scale carbon dioxide removal. Unlike carbon offsets that treat CO₂ removal as a commodity, Carbonaught treats carbon removal as a property of improved soil chemistry and farmer economics — making the business case for adoption intrinsic to agricultural productivity gains. The company partners with leading research institutions including the University of Queensland, James Cook University, Queensland University of Technology, UC Davis, the University of South Australia, and CSIRO. Carbonaught participated in the Startmate accelerator and is headquartered in Brisbane, Australia.
