Capsule Corporation is an Italian space propulsion startup based in Turin developing the WaterCube, a water-based, unpressurized propulsion unit for CubeSats and Smallsats. Optimized for mass production with a three-month lead time, the modular system uses off-the-shelf components and 3D-printed parts to deliver primary propulsion for CubeSats above 3U and primary or secondary propulsion for larger smallsats, enabling orbital maneuvers such as collision avoidance and de-orbiting. The company has progressed its WaterCube technology from a TRL 3 prototype in December 2023 toward a TRL 6+ critical design review by November 2025, with a first flight demonstration targeted for Q4 2026.
