CallApp

CallApp is an Israeli mobile application that provides caller ID, call blocking, and contact management services to a global user base of over 25 million users. The app automatically identifies incoming calls from unknown, spam, telemarketer, and robocall numbers using one of the largest phone number databases in the market — covering over 8 billion numbers worldwide. In addition to caller identification, CallApp offers call recording, SMS spam detection, video ringtones, and social enrichment of contacts with information from platforms including LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and Telegram. Founded in 2011 in Tel Aviv by Oded Volovitz and Amit On, CallApp raised $1 million in seed funding and later a $4 million Series A in December 2014. The app is recognized as the largest caller ID app in the US market and is available on Android. CallApp's business model combines a free consumer app with advertising and a B2B advertising platform that lets brands reach users at the moment of a call.
