Its lead antibacterial program centers on BWC0977, a first-in-class broad-spectrum antibiotic with both intravenous and oral formulations effective against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. In oncology, the company is developing differentiated small molecule therapeutics targeting hypoxic, immunosuppressed, and refractory solid tumors. Bugworks has a combined scientific team with over 200 years of drug discovery experience and has secured strategic partnerships including a co-development agreement with the Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership (GARDP).
