BTI Systems (Juniper)

BTI Systems was an Ottawa-based optical networking company specializing in packet optical transport systems for data center interconnect, cloud networking, and metro optical infrastructure. The company developed the BTI7000 line of carrier-grade packet optical transport systems, enabling scalable, high-availability networking for cloud and service provider environments. Founded in 2000, BTI Systems raised approximately $122 million in venture funding from investors including Bain Capital Ventures before being acquired by Juniper Networks in 2016, integrating its technology into Juniper's end-to-end networking portfolio.
