BoxyHQ built open-source security building blocks for developers, most notably SAML Jackson, an enterprise single sign-on service that abstracts SAML and OIDC identity-provider integrations behind a simple OAuth 2.0-style flow, plus a Next.js-based enterprise SaaS starter kit. The open-source project became a widely-used way for SaaS startups to add enterprise-ready authentication without building SSO from scratch, and BoxyHQ was later acquired by Ory, with its SSO product continuing on as Ory Polis within the Ory identity and access management suite.
