BlueData built an enterprise software platform called EPIC (Elastic Private Instant Clusters) that used Docker container technology to simplify and accelerate the deployment of large-scale AI, machine learning, and big data workloads on-premises or in the cloud. The platform dramatically reduced multi-tenant big data deployment times from months to days, enabling enterprises to democratize AI and data science across their organizations. BlueData was acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise in December 2018 and its technology was subsequently rebranded as HPE Ezmeral Container Platform.
