BatX Energies is an Indian cleantech company founded in 2020 by Utkarsh Singh and Vikrant Singh, headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, that specializes in lithium-ion battery recycling and critical mineral recovery using proprietary hydrometallurgical technology. The company operates a hub-and-spoke recycling infrastructure — including a commercial-scale HUB-1 facility in Sikandrabad, Uttar Pradesh capable of processing 5,100 MT of batteries annually — that recovers battery-grade lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese at over 99.5% purity using a zero-waste, zero-emission low-temperature process. Backed by institutional investors including IvyCap Ventures and Zephyr Peacock and government support from the Technology Development Board and Ministry of Heavy Industries, BatX has raised $18.6M to date and is building India's domestic circular battery supply chain to reduce dependence on imported critical minerals.
