Base5 Genomics, now operating as Benthic Genomics, builds software that converts complex genomic regions into high-confidence calls at higher precision and scale than standard microarray and NGS methods. The Benthic Analysis Platform takes microarray, short-read, and long-read sequencing data and produces high-resolution genotyping across hard-to-characterize immune genes such as HLA, KIR, and polymorphic pharmacogenes. Its Mako workflow reconstructs phased MHC haplotypes, delivers 4-field HLA typing across dozens of MHC genes, and recovers SNPs and structural variants without requiring labs to change their existing sequencing workflows.
