Bark Technologies, founded in 2015 by CEO Brian Bason, is an Atlanta, Georgia-based child safety platform that helps families navigate the digital world safely. The company's flagship product monitors children's activity across 30+ apps and social media platforms using AI-powered analysis to detect signs of cyberbullying, depression, suicidal ideation, sexual predation, and other dangers, alerting parents to potential threats without full surveillance. Bark has expanded its product line to include the Bark Phone and the Bark Watch. The platform also provides free monitoring to K-12 schools through Bark for Schools, now active in over 3,400 school districts. As of 2024, Bark protects more than 7 million children.
