Atisama

Atisama Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company pioneering splice-switching oligonucleotides (SSO) that return gene transcription pathways to their optimal form, restoring molecular balance from disease towards lasting health. The company targets pathways that cannot be optimally engaged using common modalities such as siRNA, small molecules, or monoclonal antibodies. Using SSO, Atisama restores balance by down-regulating disease-driving isoforms while upregulating their protective counterparts, a dual-action mechanism unique to the SSO modality. Its lead program, RB042, is an inhaled SSO targeting the Receptor for Advanced Glycation End-products (RAGE), currently in a Phase 1 clinical trial for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
