Asymmetric Security is an AI-native digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) firm that emerged from stealth in January 2026 with $4.2 million in pre-seed funding led by Susa Ventures. Founded by alumni from Oxford, Stanford, Cambridge, RAND, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike, the company's platform autonomously collects forensic artifacts across email, identity, and cloud applications, analyzes attack patterns, and delivers findings and recommendations to incident responders. The platform is designed to dramatically accelerate investigation timelines while reducing costs compared to traditional DFIR engagements. Asymmetric's long-term roadmap includes expanding into insider threat investigations, ransomware response, and nation-state attack attribution.
