Arda Biomaterials is a London-based materials science company that transforms agricultural waste — primarily spent grain from breweries and whisky distilleries — into high-performance, plastic-free, animal-free polymer materials and leather alternatives. By learning from and reconfiguring natural protein hierarchies using nontoxic chemistry, Arda engineers materials that deliver workability, aesthetic range, and price parity with conventional materials, targeting the fashion, automotive, beauty, and beverage industries. The company has collaborated with AB InBev, Diageo, and design studio BEEN London, and operates from a 5,000 sq ft Bermondsey facility backed by investors including the Clean Growth Fund.
