Arbor Energy is a clean energy startup founded in 2022 and headquartered in El Segundo, California, building compact next-generation turbine systems for zero-emission baseload electricity generation. Founded by SpaceX alumni, Arbor uses a direct-fired oxy-combustion process with supercritical CO2 as the working fluid, enabling a closed-loop design that conserves water, eliminates emissions, and eases permitting. The company targets the growing demand for firm, always-on power — particularly from data centers and industrial facilities — with a contract-to-grid timeline of under two years, with first power targeted in 2028.
