APX

APX is a Berlin-based, earliest-stage startup investor jointly backed by media group Axel Springer and Porsche. Launched in 2018 as the successor to the Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator (an early backer of fintech unicorn N26), APX partners with pre-seed founders from Europe and beyond, often as their first investor, writing checks up to roughly €500K. Since 2018 it has invested in more than 70 startups across 20-plus industries alongside 100-plus co-investors, and in 2021 shifted from a fixed accelerator program to an always-on, very-early-stage investment model with around €55M available.
