Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI) Labs is a Paris-based frontier AI research lab co-founded by Yann LeCun, Turing Award winner and former Chief AI Scientist at Meta. AMI is developing world models — AI systems that learn abstract representations of real-world continuous sensory data and make predictions in representation space, bypassing the limitations of generative large language models. Action-conditioned world models enable agentic systems to plan action sequences under safety guardrails. Target applications include industrial process control, automation, robotics, healthcare, and wearable devices. AMI raised approximately $586M at a $3.5B valuation in early 2026.
