Alphatech

Alphatech (株式会社アルファテック) is a Japanese food and agricultural technology company based in the Tohoku region, leveraging the Amorfast® temperature-controlled grinding technology developed by Professor Nishioka of Yamagata University. The company applies this innovative gelatinization (alpha conversion) process to starch and cellulose without water or heat, enabling cost-effective and eco-friendly solutions across three sectors: animal feed and livestock (improving digestibility of grain feed), food ingredients (gluten-free and clean-label starch powders as wheat alternatives), and biomass processing (low-energy cellulose amorphization for biorefinery applications). Alphatech is a member of the J-Startup Tohoku program.
