High-performance distributed caching for large-scale AI workloads
Alluxio is an open-source distributed caching and data orchestration platform designed for large-scale AI and analytics workloads in the cloud. Originally developed as Tachyon by founder Haoyuan (HY) Li during his PhD research at UC Berkeley's AMPLab, Alluxio bridges the gap between compute frameworks (such as Spark, TensorFlow, and PyTorch) and cloud/on-premises storage systems. It enables data teams to separate compute from storage while dramatically reducing data access latency, maximizing GPU utilization, and cutting infrastructure costs. Alluxio is available as both a community open-source edition and an enterprise edition.
