Alithic

Alithic manufactures a carbon-negative cement replacement while saving money and upgrading waste. The process, developed from University of Wisconsin–Madison research, integrates CO2 capture and mineralization by combining atmospheric carbon dioxide with industrial mineral wastes such as coal ash to produce supplementary cementitious materials that can substitute for Portland cement. A demonstration plant in Madison, Wisconsin has nameplate capacity of 50 tons of SCM per year, and a commercial pilot is planned for 2028. Alithic sells high-quality SCM to the construction and concrete industry.
