Algaebio+ is an Argentine biotech company that develops and produces high-value functional ingredients from microalgae, including natural astaxanthin, polysaccharides, polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), and pigments. Its products serve cosmetics, nutraceuticals, human nutrition, and animal health markets. Founded by Dr. Carolina Baldi, who holds a PhD in Biochemistry, the company operates its own controlled microalgae cultivation and extraction processes and takes a collaborative co-creation approach with industrial partners. Algaebio+ was selected by the IncuBAte 2018 program and Grid Exponential accelerator.
