Aervio

Aervio was a Barcelona-based AI-powered corporate travel management company that developed natural language processing (NLP) tools to streamline search, booking, and billing processes for business travel. Founded in April 2016 by CEO Santiago Montero de Quadras, Aervio built one of Europe's first AI-driven corporate travel platforms, specializing in intelligent automation for travel management companies (TMCs) operating in Spain. The company's platform used NLP to handle travel requests quickly and automate the end-to-end booking and billing workflow. In April 2025, Aervio was acquired by Italy-based BizAway, a travel management scale-up with over 360 employees and €50M in total funding, with most of Aervio's team joining BizAway's Spanish offices.
