ACWA Power Solar Reserve Redstone Solar Thermal Power Plant (RF) Proprietary Limited is the project company behind the 100 MW Redstone Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant in the Northern Cape of South Africa, the first utility-scale CSP project in Sub-Saharan Africa. The plant features 12 hours of thermal energy storage enabling dispatchable renewable electricity, supplying approximately 480 GWh of clean energy annually to South African utility Eskom under a 20-year power purchase agreement. The project reached commercial operations in Q2 2025 and was procured under South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent Power Procurement Programme (REIPPPP).
