Acuva Technologies, founded in 2014 near Vancouver, Canada, developed UVC LED-based water disinfection systems for residential, recreational, commercial, and remote applications. Its IntenseBeam technology combined UVC LEDs with optical lensing to deliver high-intensity ultraviolet light for effective inactivation of viruses and bacteria without mercury. Products served customers in over 20 countries across OEM, dealer, and consumer channels. In 2024, Watersprint AB acquired Acuva's intellectual property portfolio; the brand continues under Watersprint's product line.
