ACP Technologies LLC develops domestic sources of affordable carbon-based materials critical to national security. Using patented processes, the company transforms inexpensive petroleum oils into high-value isotropic and mesophase pitch in a continuous process, which then serves as the base material for graphite, carbon fiber, carbon-carbon composites, and other advanced materials. The company's work directly supports reducing U.S. dependency on China for strategic defense materials. ACP Technologies has partnered with Navitas Systems to test military lithium-ion batteries using domestic synthetic graphite and has received multiple SBIR awards from the Department of Defense's Defense Logistics Agency.
