Violet Tan

Violet Tan is Partner & Chief Operating Officer at UpHonest Capital, a Silicon Valley-based early-stage venture capital firm investing in angel, seed, and Series A companies with a focus on cross-border opportunities connecting Asia (especially China) and global markets. She runs UpHonest's China operations and oversees fund strategy, talent, operations, and portfolio-company support. Before venture investing she held brand, PR, and growth roles at IBM and Alibaba Group, and worked as a journalist/researcher at InformationWeek and Forbes China. She is also an active angel investor, with fund-level investments including Hims & Hers, Checkr, Rippling, Ironclad, Mux, Astranis, and Boom Supersonic.
