Village Capital

Accelerator

Village Capital is a global venture capital platform founded in 2009 in New Orleans by Ross Baird and Bob Patillo, pioneering a peer-selection investment model in which cohorts of entrepreneurs collectively choose which peer receives funding — research published in 2019 found the model mitigates bias against women-led founders. Through its VilCap Investments fund and worldwide accelerator programs, it has supported more than 500 entrepreneurs across 40+ countries in sectors including agriculture, education, financial health, and climate, with portfolio companies going on to raise over $1B in follow-on capital.
