Osprey Technology Acquisition Corp (NYSE: SFTW) was a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) formed in 2019 by HEPCO Capital Management (Jonathan and Edward Cohen) and JANA Partners. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it raised approximately $414 million in its IPO to pursue a merger with a technology-focused target. In September 2021 it completed its business combination with BlackSky Holdings, a real-time geospatial intelligence and satellite imagery company, taking it public on the NYSE as BlackSky Technology Inc. (BKSY). The SPAC vehicle itself ceased to exist upon merger completion.
