NEM Ventures

NEM Ventures was the venture capital and investment arm of the NEM blockchain ecosystem, mandated by the NEM community via public vote to manage a pool of reserved funds for strategic investments in projects aligned with the NEM ethos. It ran the "NEM Ignite" virtual incubator program (first cohort in 2020, three cohorts through 2021), providing mentoring plus up to $10,000 in financial support to early-stage blockchain startups building on the NEM NIS1 or Symbol platforms. Portfolio companies included Techemy, Propine Technologies, and StakeHound. Per Crunchbase, NEM Ventures is now permanently closed.
