BlueBay Asset Management is a London-based specialist fixed income asset manager founded in 2001. Originally established as an active credit specialist hedge fund focused on European corporate and global emerging debt markets, it was acquired by Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in December 2010 for £963 million. In 2022, it rebranded as RBC BlueBay Asset Management following a legal merger with RBC Global Asset Management UK. Today it operates as the fixed income and alternatives investment arm of RBC Global Asset Management outside North America, managing assets across long-only and alternative fixed income strategies including corporate credit, emerging markets, leveraged finance, and structured credit.
