Bamboo Angel Group

Bamboo Angel Group is the angel-investing initiative organized by Bamboo (formerly Bamboo Detroit), a Detroit-area coworking and startup community founded in 2013 by Amanda Lewan and co-founders. The group connects Michigan entrepreneurs with a network of angel investors, hosting events such as the "Be Investable" angel happy hour, and has backed early-stage startups through single-purpose investment vehicles, including a $425,000 pre-seed round for ToDoolie in 2019-2020 via Bamboo Todoolie Investment I LLC, a Michigan LLC registered at Bamboo's 1420 Washington Blvd, Detroit headquarters. Bamboo itself operates the largest coworking space network for entrepreneurs in Metro Detroit, with locations in Detroit, Royal Oak, and Ann Arbor.
